Junior 60 Team GP (Ages 13-16)

Introducing the Junior 60 Minute Team Grand Prix, a brand-new event designed specifically for young drivers aged 13-16 in our Junior Pro Club! This 60-minute endurance race is a team-based challenge, where pairs of drivers share a kart and compete for victory.

Key Information

Eligibility:

To be eligible for event, each driver must:

  • Be aged 13-16 (minimum age: 13, maximum age: 16)
  • Have passed an RT10 Assessment
  • Competed in a previous or upcoming 13-16 junior club championship or hold a current KX or MSAUK racing licence

Team Event:

Each team consists of 2 drivers sharing a kart. Throughout practice and the race, drivers will swap in the pit lane, ensuring equal track time for both participants.

Format:

  • Karts: RT10 karts on the full International Circuit
  • Practice/Qualifying: 10-minute session
  • Race: 60-minute team-based race
  • Trophies: Awarded to the top three finishing teams

Participant Restrictions:

  • Age: 13-16 years old
  • Weight Classes: Lightweight (50-65kg) and Standards (65.1kg+)
  • Height: Minimum 5ft (152cm), Maximum 6’4” (195cm)

Experience: Must be a 13-16 Junior Club competitor or attend a similar event at another circuit.

New drivers to Buckmore may require an assessment before being allowed to enter the race.

Parental Supervision: Drivers aged 13-16 must be accompanied by an adult (18+)

Duration: Total time at the circuit is approximately 2.5 hours from arrival to departure.

18:30 – Arrival & Registration

19:00 – Safety Briefing

19:30 – 10-Minute Practice/Qualifying

19:50 – 60-Minute Team Race

21:05 – Presentation of Awards

Spectators

Spectators are welcome. We have a state-of-the-art clubhouse facility featuring a Café serving hot and cold food, and an upper tier balcony which provides a dynamic view of the whole circuit.

Cafeteria

The cafe will be open during the session for the purchase of hot and cold refreshments.

Dress Code

Please bring comfortable clothing and suitable footwear, preferably trainers or similar flat shoes. All the safety equipment necessary will be provided.

Weather

Please check the weather forecast before you travel and pack a change of clothes if rain looks likely. Only in the most extreme weather conditions (i.e. ice or snow) will there be a possibility of your session being postponed or cancelled.
