The Junior 8-13 Pro Club is a championship race forming part of our Buckmore Junior Series offering competitive sprint racing for 8- 16 year olds. Race meetings take place on the full International Circuit and all safety equipment is provided.

Key Information

Format

Each race meeting comprises a short practice followed by three points scoring heats for each driver to determine grid positions for the finals. All drivers will compete in a final.

Participant Restrictions

The minimum age to take part in the event is 8 and the maximum age is 13. Potential drivers must have competed in a minimum of three Rookie Races at Buckmore Park or similar events at other circuits. Proof of lap times or grades achieved elsewhere will be required.

Classes

On the day, the Junior series is run in two race categories, Junior Rookie & Junior Pro. The Pro drivers aged 8-13 years drive the 160cc Junior Sodi Karts. The Rookie drivers also drive the 160cc Junior Sodi Karts although in separate races. There are trophies for the top three in all classes.

Championship Details

The Junior Pro class features an 4 round winter championship of which the best 3 scores will count. This allows for a missed round or to drop a disappointing result.

Please note: A Rookie driver can be eligible to move up to the Pro Class after having competed in a minimum of three races and a discussion with the race director.
