The Buckmore Junior Club offers competitive sprint racing for junior kart drivers. Race meetings take place on the full International Circuit and all safety equipment is provided.
In light of the latest government guidance, we have implemented strict precautions to ensure the safety of you and the team. Before you book your session, it is important that you read through and understand the following information.
If you have or have had any symptoms of COVID-19 (high temperature, a new continuous cough, loss or change to your sense of smell or taste) within the last 14 days, please do not complete your booking. Follow NHS guidance.
We encourage you to bring your own racewear, including: Race Suit, Helmet & Gloves. If you do wish to use your own, the helmet must comply with British Standard or EU equivalent. Suits must be one piece overalls or bike leathers. Gloves must be full finger. If you do not have your own equipment then you can use our equipment and there are also options to purchase your own balaclavas and gloves on the day if you would like to.

Each race event consists of a short practice session for every driver which is followed by three points scoring heats for each driver to determine grid positions for the finals. All drivers will compete in a final.
The minimum age to take part is 8 and the maximum age is 16. Potential drivers must have successfully completed a minimum of one training lesson at the Buckmore Kart School or similar and approved grades achieved elsewhere. For the Junior or Junior RT8 Classes, drivers must have previously taken part in a minimum of three Rookie Race events to be considered for the class.
The total time at the circuit is approximately 6 ¼ hrs from your arrival to departure.

The Junior Club is run in four separate age categories: Rookie ages 8-13, & 12-15 and Junior 8-13 & Junior RT8 13-16. The Rookie and younger Junior class uses the 160cc Junior Sodi karts. The Junior RT8 class uses 390cc RT8 karts. There are trophies for the top three in all classes.
Spectators are welcome. We have a state-of-the-art clubhouse facility featuring a Café serving hot and cold food, and an upper tier balcony which provides a dynamic view of the whole circuit.
Please bring comfortable clothing and suitable footwear, preferably trainers or similar flat shoes. All the safety equipment necessary will be provided.
Please check the weather forecast before you travel and pack a change of clothes if rain looks likely. Only in the most extreme weather conditions (i.e. ice or snow) will there be a possibility of your session being postponed or cancelled.
All payments made are non-refundable, it may be possible to transfer your booking, but, it would be subject to an admin fee.
